A rose for you (For A)

I wonder not whether it’s best

A rose to take with me

Of stunning art of flower paste,

Or sugar flower be...

So let’s get going-make a cone

Of flower paste-grape sized

It’s just the start to make a rose

But, it’s worth a try.

A twenty-gauge wire hooked in the end

Insert down-up-way the cone

Secure with glue, so holds itself

Then put it aside, leave it alone.

Some flower paste needs rolling out thin
Before you cut the shape

A blossom cutter’ s handy still

So the piece you cut looks great.

Then take a dog, -dog bone tool I meant,

Petals’ edges soften on a piece of foam

Texture them on the board with care!

Go on! You’re nearly done!

Dampen the center of bud and petal

With egg white, but don’t forget

Once finished you leave them settle

Don’t keep telling ’They look great’

Until you’ve pushed them through the wire

Up high to the base of cone

Until they’re dry and color dusted

Until stem taping ‘s done.

Hold on! Hold on! We’re not done yet

What you see ‘s not yet a rose

Didn’t I mention, that roses look great

When the entire job is done!?

You see this tool? Is a petal cutter- see?

So take the non-stick board, and hey

Have fun, but paste must be extremely thin

Or you threw rose’s beauty away.

A twenty-eight-gauge wire insert

Into the petals’ back,- the groove

Once the thinness of the edges is set

Then vein with a texturing tool.
Then leave them in peace, just by your side

On a piece of foam, - to dry crisp

I hope you used twenty-gauge wire  

Glued and cut them in half

The three first pieces were thin and short

If you’ve done so, then you’re smart.

A calyx from flower paste is cut green

you push it up, and up, and up is sent

Surrounding the stamens as always' been

After texturing with tweezers in the end...

Now just petals to add ‘round the stamens-

Overlapping the petals as you tape

Now you’re allowed to make compliments

Now you’re allowed to say ‘Great’!

The rose now is smiling to you, broadly

Is bonding with you like a child

If you dust it now with whatever color

In excitement your rose will go wild.
